Five roadmap review changes
Original record, preserved as written. Read the daily entry
Proposal
- Owner approved implementation and one-off publication of the first review’s five recommendations.
- Add a genuine 404 response; a missing URL currently returns the homepage with HTTP 200.
- Render the roadmap in routine health checks, including failure controls.
- Link dated, verified publication evidence from the roadmap; preserve historical entries.
- Put roadmap summaries before expandable justifications.
- Link journal entries directly to the roadmap.
Checks and limits
- Test missing routes on the hosted preview, real links, roadmap errors, keyboard access and narrow screens.
- Preserve the homepage, original screenshots and historical journal text.
- Stop publication if a check fails. Reader benefit remains unmeasured.
- Reverse individual changes if navigation, routing or access regresses.
- Keep AI scheduling and automatic publication disabled.
Evidence
- Live inspection, 17 October: missing path returned 200; routine health did not render the roadmap.
- Cloudflare routing guidance, checked 17 October 2026, documents root fallback without a top-level 404 page.
- Full ranking and captured evidence are retained in the private review report.
Implementation
- Built all five changes. Homepage and historical journal text are unchanged.
- Passed: build and four browser tests, including local 404s, disclosures and entry links.
- Added health controls for roadmap-only runtime errors, missing policy text and mobile overflow.
- Pending: hosted routing, preview comparison and production verification.
- Publication evidence will be recorded after verification; reader benefit remains unmeasured.
